If you’re struggling right now — with anxiety that won’t quiet down, pain you don’t know how to carry, or feelings that have started to scare you — you don’t have to figure it out alone. Heather Bearden is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has spent years walking alongside teenagers and adults through some of life’s hardest moments, and she’s here to help.
Heather understands that reaching out takes courage. Whether you’re overwhelmed by anxiety or OCD, grieving a loss, recovering from trauma, battling depression, or trying to make sense of anger or self-harm, she offers a safe, non-judgmental space where healing is possible. She also works with people who simply want to feel more confident in their relationships — learning to communicate more clearly, set boundaries, and find their voice.
Her approach is grounded in proven, evidence-based methods — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — that give you real tools to manage difficult emotions and change patterns that are holding you back. She is also specially trained in trauma recovery, helping clients gently process painful experiences at a pace that feels safe.
Heather’s path to counseling wasn’t accidental — it was a calling. After earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Georgia and working in human services, she followed her passion for helping people and completed her Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2011. She is also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), reflecting her deep commitment to the counseling profession and the clients it serves.
You deserve support. Heather is ready to meet you where you are.
