Kendra, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor, has a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She has been in clinical practice since 2001, during which time she has served both adolescents and adults, as individuals, couples and families in a clinical setting. She opened Beyond Today Counseling Center in 2006, with the goal of serving her community by providing researched based counseling treatment to those who seek her services, by addressing each individual in a holistic manner. Kendra’s areas of expertise are anxiety related disorders, depression and other mood disorders, communication issues, struggles in relationship, life transitions and adjustments, grief and loss, stress management and trauma recovery.
Kendra is passionate about bringing mental health awareness to our community, and to provide hope to those who are struggling either personally or within the dynamics of their family. Because of this passion, Kendra serves as a board member a non-profit charitable health clinic, the Forsyth County Community Health Clinic. In addition to her volunteer work, Kendra is also available to speak at community events in order to bring awareness and education to the topics of Mental Health and Trauma.
