As a counselor Mary served in county mental health, treating the severely and chronically mentally ill for two years; since 2000 she has worked in private practice. She has done considerable work with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, boundaries, assertiveness, and spiritual issues. Additionally, she was an Air Force wife, so she has a special understanding of military life and its challenges.
